Dig It - Songs to Practice

Our rehearsal time is limited. In order to make the most of our time together during rehearsals, we are requesting everyone to practice the songs at home. Everyone will be singing all the songs regardless of whether he/she has an acting or dancing part. We can't stress how important practice is to make a stellar performance. Solos and speaking parts will be assigned in rehearsal. Below you will find all the songs and lyrics. Any words in the songs not listed belong to a speaking or singing solo. 

**The voice group is not always singing the same thing as the main melody group. The link to songs with the voice group part enhanced is found below the youtube link for each song.

Private Music Tutors

Hi all,

The OIS community is often in need of private music teachers for themselves or their children. It will be nice if we could have a list that can be sent out to the ones looking out for such tutors. As such, the Primary Music Team would like to compile a list of music teachers you are aware of and would like to recommend. Dialogues and Scenes - Dig It

The Primary Music team, by the end of this day, will send out dialogues/scenes to all students who have acting roles in the musical Dig It. Kindly check your emails for a link to the scenes. The students are expected to come prepared with the dialogues for the next rehearsal.

A small summary of the musical we are working on is given below.

Dig It! A Musical Tale of Ancient Civilizations by John Jacobson and Roger Emerson Travel back in time and join inquisitive Archeologists,Taki and Tut, and their fossil friend, Lucy, as they explore the wonders of ancient civilization. From the farm laborers of Early Mesopotamia and Egyptian Mummies who "rap" to a chorus of Ancient Greeks and Romulus and Remus who dream of building a great city, we'll re-discover the mysteries of the ancient past!

In our first rehearsal, we had our auditions for the acting roles and the results are listed down. Please note that the decision of the Primary Music Team in finalising the roles for the musical is final.
